The XXXV Annual Meeting of the Portuguese Society of Orthodontics and Orthodontic Odontofacial Orthopedics (SPODF) will be held in Viana do Castelo from 23 to 25 May, in which we will have the honour of participating. Dr. González Zamora, official Angel Aligner speaker, will give a lecture on Saturday 25/5 under the title “Digital innovations that will transform the treatment with aligners. Where are we, what is the future”.
Justification
In recent years, orthodontic treatment with clear aligners has become popular. From a professional point of view, advances in materials and digital planning have made aligners an increasingly predictable and reliable treatment. And from the patient’s point of view, they gain in comfort and aesthetics. This combination has placed Spain in third place worldwide in the number of cases treated with aligners per inhabitant, after the USA and China. Currently, artificial intelligence applied to diagnosis and planning, improvements in materials, and the integration of 3D diagnostic images, pose a promising horizon for innovation and development in the expansion of treatment options, as well as in their effectiveness. Through this communication, the current features of the Angel Aligner system will be explained, as well as future implementations that are still to come.
